Customer Profile: Joseph

Joseph brought us a few items, and our favorite was this button-up he had with a crazy large collar! He mentioned that there was no way he would wear it as is and was wondering if there was anything we could do. Before 1 (first on post) blog

About a Dress #30

About a Dress #30
We had taken a break from About a Dress as we’ve been refocusing our energy on our upstairs tailoring shop, but we are back up and running!  Enjoy! This week’s dress came from Rock it Again, when they were cleaning out some damaged goods.  This one had some tears here and there, and some grease stains, but had soooo much potential.  I mean you can’t really go wrong with bright green and bright yellow silk! See how we transformed it! About a Dress 1 blog

Customer Profile: Lizzy

It’s wedding season, and Team Ginger Root has altered over 30 bridesmaid dresses in the past 3 months! It’s a nice break in the routine, and my favorite part is chatting with the different “chosen” ladies about the questionable nature of their appointed dresses. To be frank, I’ve seen some tasteful, beautiful gowns, and some real duds. But every bride honestly believes that their choice could “totally be worn again.”

Customer Profile: Eileen’s Rehearsal Dinner Dress

Eileen brought in her dress that she wore for her rehearsal dinner at her wedding. Obviously she wanted to hang on to it since it had some sentimental value :-), but between the ruffle on the bottom and the oversized fit at the waist and armholes this dress wasn’t doing anything for her.
