Slender guys like John aren’t always down with an over-sized blazer. The jacket he brought in for his appointment was boxy, the shoulders were way too wide, and the sleeves were a tad too long.

Customer Profile: Dana
Dana was referred to us by her friend Shawna who we featured in another Customer Profile. The jacket Dana brought in had a lot of sentimental value–it was given to her by her grandfather. Earlier this year, her grandfather sadly passed away, and she wanted to have something special made from the jacket that she could wear to the memorial service. In addition, she wanted a piece that she would wear regularly so she could continue to carry the memories of her grandfather with her. Customer Profile: Joseph
Joseph came in for his tailoring appointment a few weeks back with his favorite black jacket. It was one of those pieces that I would consider well-loved: elbows worn through, and generally rough around edges. He previously had the elbows patched, which then wore out again 🙂
Joseph wanted to jazz the jacket up a bit, so he could still have it as his staple coat for meetings, but then could ideally wear it for his wedding. I brainstormed design features that could also serve as stabilizing factors on the coat…
