Tailoring Terminology: Swing Tack

Ever go to a tailor and have no idea what word(s) she/he just said? Well, we are here to bring a little education into the wide world of tailoring with a little terminology talk. Check back every week for a new term.

Next up: Swing Tack

A swing tack is a thread chain made by hand-crocheting a chain stitch. Its used to hold two or more layers loosely together. If you have a pair of lined pants or a lined skirt, a swing tack will be used to fix the lining to a certain point of the garment. Otherwise, the lining can twist around the leg or body, making the garment uncomfortable to wear.
