Rachel came to us with an adorable vintage dress she found on etsy. Unfortunately, it also came with some pretty wicked stains right across the bust. She tried having it dry cleaned, but *alas* those stains were here to stay.  Luckily, this chick has some great ideas, and came to us to sew a panel over the stains. Originally she was going to get some black fabric, but once she found a vibrant magenta, it was love at first sight!

We removed those terrible short sleeves, and recut the armcyes to eliminate more stains. We also hemmed the dress into a mini, and took some excess out of the skirt width to make it less A-line. Next, I opened up the two front princess seams, and sewed the magenta fabric across the front. Then I re-sewed the front seams, covering the stains.

Now, this dress is totally Mod, and even more adorable!

Hats off to Rachel and her great idea on how to salvage a damaged dress!
