This weekend Ginger Root has dubbed Artist Appreciation Weekend!  Come celebrate our artists with a little sale. Just mention this blog entry in our store and enjoy 15 percent off your favorite Ginger Root artist with our first-ever all artist sale.   Check out a sample of the goodies below!

Metal Musings, mother of Ginger Root owner Erin, is our only non-local artist out of Wisconsin. Her men’s and women’s pieces include detailed metalwork and/or recycled materials.

Jennifer Jeremias has a flair for unique yet classic pieces. Her collection includes brass and silver earrings, rings and necklaces as well as her wardrobe-staple “Cube” earrings shown above (paired with a Metal Musings bolo necklace).

Rachel Pfeffer  is a master at metal working, and makes a mean drusy ring.  From statement cocktail rings to bicycle tie pins, she has something for everyone.

Elizabeth Graeber, voted best Illustrator in DC by the Washington City Paper, shows us that art can be  practical and eco-friendly through her hand-painted vintage purses and wallets.

YB Green recycles her earrings and necklaces from glass collected in  New Orleans to raise awareness of their recycling problems. After Hurricane Katrina, the recycling programs fell apart and the city still doesn’t recycle glass.

Lauren Joan is perfect for the lady who wants some WOW. Her tangled necklaces are one-of-a-kind, incorporate vintage jewelry, and are made to last!

Motley is a local designing duo that makes exquisite necklaces from fishing lure!  Each of the four necklace designs come in seven different striking colors.

Handmade by Clara’s earrings are true miniature works of art. She sculpts these lightweight and colorful earrings from wire from the hardware store.

Kate Rieppel is inspired by cities, cultures and the environment. Her pieces incorporate colorful enamel with sterling silver, brass and gold elements to create bold yet classic pieces.

Fisticuffs makes all of his leather cuffs from 100 percent recycled materials! The artist cuts his cuffs from discarded leather bags, belts and briefcases and embellishes them with “found” objects.

Accoutre upcycles his statement bow ties from vintage ties and fabrics.  In addition, if he has extra fabric from a tie, he’ll cut a matching bow tie bracelet.

See you this weekend!
