About a Dress #17

This week’s dress was donated to us by Jennifer Jeremias. The fabric was great, but there were a few stains here and there, and it needed some definite tailoring.

First, I looked over the dress and pinned the stained spots that I needed to avoid. Then I pulled off the collar, yolk, and sleeves. I’ve been feeling asymmetrical tops lately, so I decided to turn this into a tunic with an asymmetrical cowl, balanced with an asymmetrical draped sleeve. On the back across the shoulders where I needed more fabric, I added the old sleeve, and the panel with button holes for some well-needed detail.

Wear this tunic over a pencil skirt belted, or without a belt over leggings with cute boots.
