Here at Ginger Root, we 100% understand buying clothing based purely on amazing fabric. I myself have a gigantic tupperware tub FULL of crazy prints and bold colors, currently held hostage as unflattering or ill-fitting clothing. Kseniya came to us with an incredible find: a silk floral print vintage dress with the tags still on! She loved the pattern, but damn- it was huge on her!

We took in the sides, and the sleeves.

I added front and back darts in order to whittle away even more fabric. To finish the dress off, I hemmed the sleeves, bringing it more into proportion with Kseniya’s body type.

Minus all that extra fabric, Kseniya now has a “new” vintage dress! Never been worn (for 30 years!), until now, and it fits her perfectly 🙂
